Good day my friends!
Exactly two months ago I went on a trip to Northern Ireland with my best friend. It was my first time ever being on a vacation without my parents (my exchange year does not count as a vacation) and it was quite an adventure and I really, really loved it because Northern Ireland is an absolutely marvellous country and Belfast (I will write a separate article about it) was also stunning. Here's a bunch of information about Norn Iron, as its citizens call it.Northern Ireland with its capital city of Belfast is a part of the United Kingdom (but not Great Britain because it is apart of the mainland) and is actually connected to the Republic of Ireland, not politically though. It has an overall area of 14,130 km² and is populated by around 1.811 million people and is mainly famous for being the place where Game of Thrones is filmed and also, of course, the IRA conflict that occured towards the end of the 20th century.
And now 27 photos that'll make you want to pack your things and go to Northern Ireland!
